26th September 2014 – Sustainable Orchard design 10-2.30 Choices of varieties, pest and disease control, pollinators, rootstocks planting distances and planning for resilience. £45

A mixture of practical and theoretical sessions on sustainable horticulture/ permaculture or just generally having a nice time in the orchards. The groups are small. We will have fun as well a learning the basic professional horticultural / Permaculture  skills

The Apricot centre is a small eco-venue just outside of Manningtree in an attractive 4-acre organic fruit garden. Our focus is upon providing courses on the general theme of Sustainable Living. The Apricot Centre is part of The Land Project,a demonstration farm for permaculture  methods and registered with the Soil Association. We are close to the mainline train station at Manningtree

Tutor: Marina O’Connell; BSc, MEnv.  Permaculture diploma. Marina is an experienced organic grower, trainer and in Permaculture,  Horticulture & Sustainability Other trainers will be used on occasion in this programme.
