The Apricot Centre

Happy New Year

from the Apricot Centre

The Apricot Centre helps people make sense of and adapt to our changing world. It conducts research and provides training and development opportunities to people of all ages, enabling them to be part of the societal change we are witnessing.

Run by a psychotherapist and an environmentalist, the centre uniquely meets the practical and emotional needs of its clients and supporters. Unlike so many consultancies, the Apricot Centre is also a living demonstration of the transition principles it actively promotes

The Apricot Centre is a small eco-venue in North Essex, situated on a 4-acre organic market garden 2.5 miles from Manningtree railway station. The aim of the centre is to give courses and experiences on the theme of 'sustainable living' for the general public, schools and for professionals in the fields of education, therapy, creativity, and agriculture/horticulture.

Our focus is sustainable living - People, Food, Energy & the Land. We offer courses on the farm, and work in schools on similar themes. Our courses are continually updated on our 'events' page.

The Apricot Centre is now a part of the Permaculture Demonstration Network known as the 'Land Project'.

We are an Organic Farm School listed with the Soil Association.

The Apricot Centre is also part of the Transition (Stour) Valley Network.

Group visits to the farm - We have funding from DEFRA for up to 25 visits to the farm per year for any group, schools, clubs. Contact us to arrange a visit to suit your needs.
