Reskilling the Valley

We are running a reskilling project for the Dedham Vale AONB with part funding from the Sustainable Development Fund. Click image to visit our reskilling page.

The garden is bursting with fruit this year, we have just finished picking the soft fruit ending with huge red juicy gooseberries and there is a brief lull before the top fruit begins. We are selling in the Growing Communities Market in Stoke Newington London.
The Apricot Centre has won a grant for Re-skilling in the Stour Valley from the Dedham vale and Stour Valley ANOB. We will be researching and then running workshops in schools and for the public over the next 9 months. If anyone has any traditional skill they would like to record and share and they are based in the Stour Valley please contact us.
We are also a part of the new Transition Valley group that will be launching a series of events and talks in the autumn. The Transition group is looking at how the Stour valley will move to a low carbon economy over the next 20 years. This is an open process and you will be invited to join in soon ! www.transitionvalley.com

The Apricot Centre is also a regional centre for training in Process Oriented Psychology (UKCP accredited in April 09). Details of training and other events can be found at www.rspopuk.com. Various seminars, workshops and evening classes take place through the year. You may wish to apply to attend a live supervision seminars with European Process Work students hosted at the centre each month. This can provide you with a valuable taste of this therapeutic approach.

The Apricot Centre has just become a network farm for the Soil Association and continues its rich links with Creative Partnerships -Haven Gateway - working in and with schools in the area in with gardening and other creative areas
