Our consultancy team supports farms and landowners across the UK to design and implement sustainable, regenerative systems. We combine modern regenerative methods with traditional knowledge to help create farms that are productive, climate-resilient and biodiversity-rich, while strengthening food sovereignty.

We work with you to design land-use plans, detailed cropping and livestock systems, and business models that balance food production, economic viability and nature recovery. Mentoring

The Apricot Centre offers tailored mentoring opportunities for land-based businesses, combining practical experience with expert guidance. Whether you’re developing regenerative practices, improving business resilience, or exploring new enterprise ideas, our mentoring supports you to grow with confidence. Sessions are delivered one-to-one, focusing on your goals, challenges, and opportunities, with a practical, hands-on approach rooted in our farm and wider network.

Mentoring starts at £50 + VAT per hour.

What you will get with a full service design.

COMPREHENSIVE REPORT

A report detailing the types of farming, stocking rates, breeds and varieties, as well as places to source from and visit for ideas, solutions and inspiration.

FINANCIAL DESIGN

Capital costings spreadsheet, and a three year profit and loss model of how the business can run, these are variable spreadsheets so the planning and modelling can continue once we have handed it over.

LAND-APP DESIGN

A visual design of your farm based on the Land App to ensure scale accuracy.

VISUAL DESIGN

A hand drawn and digitally touched-up design of your farm for layout of areas, systems and general feel.

Rachel Phillips

Rachel Phillips is a qualified Permaculutre Designer with 10+ years experience of designing farms and food producing landscapes as well as training and education and other non-farming services on farms. This is in terms of the physical needs of a site, and also the policies, funding and governance that need to be in place to run a professional service.

Bob Mehew

Bob Mehew can transform the design into a detailed business plan containing projected incomes and costs to help advise on your project's financial sustainability.. Bob can also facilitate setting up of CSA type marketing systems and advise on poultry systems.

Jack McGuinness is an experienced designer who has a back ground in regenerative farming practices with a specialism in livestock management.
