Ana Broad
Hello, I'm Ana, I am an integrative counsellor and qualified social worker with over 20 years’ experience supporting children, young people and adults who have experienced trauma, loss and disrupted attachment. My therapeutic work is grounded in compassion, curiosity and a deep respect for each child’s unique story.
I hold a Level 4 Diploma in Integrative Counselling and a BA in Social Work, and I am a certified Circle of Security Facilitator. Throughout my career, I have worked extensively with adopted and fostered children, care-experienced young people, and families navigating the complex emotional and relational impacts of early adversity. I have supported children presenting with anxiety, emotional dysregulation, developmental trauma and difficulties in relationships, always working at a pace that feels safe and attuned.
Alongside my professional experience, I am also an adoptive parent to two children with complex needs. This lived experience brings an additional depth of understanding to my therapeutic work, particularly around the realities of adoption, neurodiversity and trauma-informed parenting.
I offer a warm, relational and trauma-informed therapeutic space where adopted children can feel seen, understood and supported to make sense of their experiences, build emotional safety, and develop stronger connections with themselves and others.
