Suzanne Bryant

I work as a psychotherapist and a qualified counselling psychologist. I originally trained as a secondary school teacher before starting my journey to becoming a psychologist in 2019.

I have worked in mental health settings for over 7 years, including NHS services in older adults, perinatal mental health, and currently work as part of a paediatric clinical health psychology team. I have also worked in schools as part of a mental health support team, supporting children and families. I previously worked for an organisation supporting adopted or looked after children; a role which involved working with schools to develop trauma formed planning for young people, as well as direct work with families using therapeutic parenting approaches.

My approach to therapy work is integrative and relational with an emphasis on the person to person connection that is at the heart of all interactions. I draw on attachment-based principles, including level 1 and 2 training in Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP), alongside CBT-informed strategies where helpful.

I personally find the outdoors and nature a place where I can regulate myself and feel held, so I am drawn to working in this way and utilising this space as much as possible.
