I am a Clinical Psychologist experienced in working with young people and families within the NHS. I have expertise in working with obsessive compulsive difficulties and adapting therapy for neurodiverse needs. I take a whole family approach, by helping families to notice their existing strengths and skills in the face of challenges.
I use evidence-based psychological approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and related approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT). I support parents from a place of non-judgment to create nurturing environments to support their child’s wellbeing.
I understand that so often the challenges we face are not of our choosing and approach my work from a place of compassion and curiosity. I work collaboratively with families to move towards clearly defined therapeutic goals and enjoy integrating a young person’s passions and interests into our therapeutic work.
Personally, I am a great lover of the outdoors, whether it’s a swim in the sea or a windy walk, I believe in the healing power of connecting with nature to promote wellbeing.
