I have worked for over thirty years both as a successful senior operations manager, and as a frontline practitioner within the health and social care sector. I have worked both in the children and adults sector and in the public and private sector in permanent and locum roles. I have always wanted to make a difference and through continual service improvement have led and developed nationally accredited services to be recognised as ‘Outstanding’ by the CQC. I feel that this wealth of experience more than adequately equips me for my current role to ensure sound governance at the Apricot Centre Wellbeing Service, that this service is safe, well run and complies with the relevant legislative framework, standards and regulations that will enable the children, young people and their families to achieve their full potential and personal goals. I am excited too by the Apricot Centres ethos of working in an integrative and holistic manner ‘to cultivate sustainability in lives, livelihoods and land’. Developing resilience I feel is fundamental in supporting the wellbeing of all, especially those who have experienced adverse life experiences. I am learning all the time.
