Dr Ruth Easby

Clinical Psychologist (HCPC )

DDP Levels 1 & 2 (Practitioner becoming certified in DDP)

Since qualifying as a Clinical Psychologist in 2010 I’ve worked in Paediatrics and Child and Adolescent Mental Health. I use an integrated approach drawing on ideas from Systemic models, Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP). In this way I can provide tailored support to the needs of children and their families.

I have provided teaching to the Clinical Psychology Doctorate at University of East Anglia and to the Masters course 'Diabetes in the Young' at Southampton University.  I am currently a 'Practitioner becoming certified in DDP’, an attachment and trauma informed approach for helping children with adverse life experiences.

The Apricot Centre provides a uniquely holistic space enabling me to use my integrated approach to work creatively with children, young people and families.
